Your chance for integration

Duration

July 2011 – April 2014

Donor

European Social Fund through the Human Resources and Employment Operational Programme and by the Czech State budget

Annotation

The aim of the project was to provide migrants from the Pilsen region enough knowledge and skills to strengthen their economic independence, self-reliance and autonomous problem solving ability, and to teach them how to use available services that would lead to their integration in the labor market.

Project description

The training was carried out on three levels, so as to take into account their specific needs. The first two levels were set with a low-threshold access, i.e. open to all interested members of the target group. The courses integrated language classes with content focused on practical details of everyday life (with an emphasis on local realities) and information relating to the labor market. The third level was focused on women migrants with specific needs, especially parents of young children. It included the systematic development of personal skills crucial for successfully managing their professional and family lives.
