Pathways to employment

Duration

February 2013 – June 2015

Donor

European Fund through the Human Resources and Employment Operational Programme and the Czech State budget.

Annotation

The educational program is designed for migrants living in the Pilsen region and in Central Bohemia. Given that the target group is highly diversified (length of stay in the Czech Republic, Czech language level, work experience, parents of small children, etc.), we have developed a comprehensive training program on several levels.

Project description

The socio-cultural and employment program (including a practical training for job interviews and CV writing) is primarily focused on newcomers. The low-threshold access to the courses means they are highly attainable by the target group. The intensive educational program for closed groups, which includes a training Assessment Center, tackles the specific needs of skilled migrants who are seeking suitable work positions in the Czech Republic. For parents of young children, the project offers activities focused on the systematic development of personal skills that are crucial to successfully manage both professional and family lives. All parts of the training program are combined with language classes.

Activities and outputs:

  • educational program based on socio-cultural courses
  • educational program based on employment courses
  • educational program for skilled migrants
  • seminar for professionals
  • career counselling methodology for counsellors

The project is financed by the European Fund through the Human Resources and Employment Operational Programme and by the Czech State budget.
