[aktuality/czl.jpg]The Czech Women's Lobby is inviting you to the conference “WOMEN IN ARMED CONFLICTS AND PEACE PROCESSES: Conference on the Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, and 1820 on Immediate Cessation of Sexual Violence in Conflict Zones”. It will take place on December 8th from 9:30am to 4:30pm at Kaunický Palace in Prague. One of the important speakers is a member of the Swedish organisation Kvinna till Kvinna Eva Zillén, and Rada Boric, Croatian academic and expert on violence on women in conflict.

The aim of the conference is to introduce the UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820 to the Czech audience and decision-makers and discuss possibilities and ways of their implementation both at European and national levels. The conference will assemble experts, decision-makers, representatives of NGOs and students in order to discuss possibilities of creating and adopting a Czech National Action Plan in regard to these Resolutions. The conference also includes two interactive workshops dealing with each Resolution respectively and an evening projection of the documentary film Pray the Devil Back to Hell.

Interpretation and babysitting will be provided.

Conference is organised by Czech Women’s Lobby with the financial support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
