New publication on migrant women in the Czech Republic has been published
The phenomenon of rapidly growing number of migrants coming to Europe has also become a hot issue in the Czech Republic in
recent couple of years. Czech society has to find ways for a peaceful coexistence.
It is also crucial to reflect on the gender dimension of migration - espcially when designing new laws and regulations. It is important to realize the fact that women play an important role in this process and their needs and problems are sometimes very different from those faced by male migrants.
This publication aims to give a brief overview of topics related to important moments and situations migrant women are facing during the process of migration and integration into a new country, a new society.
It was writen by Hana Víznerová and Andrea Krchová, the EKS researchers, and Petra Kutálková from the organisation La Strada. It was published by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
